China: BRICS summit in Xiamen September 3-5
BRICS summit to take place in Xiamen September 3 to 5; increased security and transportation disruptions anticipated

The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday, August 30, that Chinese President, Xi Jinping, is to chair the ninth annual BRICS Xiamen Summit in Xiamen (Fujian Province) from September 3 to 5.
