France: Disruptions at Paris-Montparnasse train station July 31 /update 1

Traffic disruptions affecting trains to and from Paris-Montparnasse station are expected to continue throughout the day on Monday, July 31. A quarter of trains due to depart at 09:00 (local time) have been canceled and additional delays have been announced. The SNFC, the national rail operator, has advised travelers to postpone journeys departing from or arriving at Montparnasse station until Monday afternoon. 

Context

These residual disruptions are due to a technical failure that occurred on Sunday morning, which caused all trains departing from Paris-Montparnasse to be canceled and which led to knock-on disruptions across the national rail network.

Travelers are advised to monitor the status of their trains prior to departure to the station and to be prepared for increased congestion at all Paris train stations.
