Islamic State makes threats towards the Balkans via its propaganda magazine; remain vigilant

The Islamic State (IS) has issued threats towards the Balkan countries through its Bosnian publication of its propaganda magazine Rumiyah. In the latest issued, the terrorists made specific threats to Serbia and Croatia due to their role in the Balkan war in 1992-1995 against Bosnian Muslims. They also mentioned potential attacks in several capitals, including Belgrade and Zagreb, as well as Sarajevo, Tirana, Pristina, and Skopje

Context

IS actively recruits in the Balkans region, particularly in Kosovo, Albania, and Serbia. Around 300 citizens from Kosovo are believed to have joined extremist Islamist groups in Syria and Iraq.
