Security forces violently dispersed a student protest that took place in front of the University of Kinshasa on Thursday, November 15, using tear gas and live ammunition. One student was killed and two others injured. Eight policemen were also injured. Students were protesting the killing of one their comrades during a protest that took place on November 12 to demand the resumption of classes. Further such protests are possible in the coming hours and days.
