Substantial waiting times have been reported at immigration control points at London’s Heathrow International Airport (LHR) in recent weeks. Queuing times surpassing the targeted maximum of 45 minutes were recorded on all but one day during the month of July, with times surpassing 2.5 hours reported at times for travelers arriving in London from outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Similar delays are to be anticipated in the coming weeks and months during peak travel times.
