Romania: Hundreds wounded in Bucharest protest August 10 /update 4

Event

Tens of thousands of anti-government protesters staged a demonstration in Bucharest on Friday, August 10, denouncing perceived government corruption and calling for the ruling government to resign and hold early elections. Clashes between protesters and police left at least 200 people wounded, including both demonstrators and police officers; several protesters were also arrested. Tens of thousands of others reportedly staged related protests in other cities across the country.
