European Union: Air Safety List updated November 30

EU air safety list updated: Venezuela’s Avior Airlines added, Mustique Airways (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) and Urga (Ukraine) removed

Informational

Event

On Thursday, November 30, the latest version of the European Union (EU) Air Safety List, which defines airlines that do not meet international safety standards and are therefore banned from operating in EU airspace, was released. One airline was added to the so-called “blacklist,” Venezuela’s Avior Airlines. Conversely, two airlines were removed from the list - Mustique Airways (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) and Urga (Ukraine) - meaning they are now legally able to offer flights to and from the EU until further notice.

Advice

Potentially impacted travelers are advised to verify flight reservations and to contact their airline for further details.
