Australia-Indonesia: Jetstar cancels flights out of Bali Dec. 1

Cancelation of nine Australian-bound flights out of Indonesian island Bali on Friday, December 1

Warning

Event

The Australian low-cost airline Jetstar has canceled nine out its 15 Australian-bound flights scheduled to depart from the Indonesian island of Bali on Friday, December 1. The cancelations are due to forecasts that indicate volcanic ash could affect operations at Bali's Denpasar-Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in the evening (local time). Other airlines have also canceled flights to and from DPS.

Jetstar and its parent company, Qantas Airways Ltd, had planned to operate up to 18 flights on Friday in order to transport 4300 stranded passengers home to Australia.

Advice

Individuals present in Bali are advised to call their airline for more information.
