Kenya: Road closures in Nairobi June 24-25

Officials in Nairobi have issued a warning over expected traffic congestion in the city from Saturday, June 24, until Sunday, June 25. A number of roads, including Mombasa Road, Uhuru Highway, University Way, and Kenyatta Avenue will be closed starting at 18:00 (local time) on June 24. Vehicles will be diverted to take alternative routes during the road closures, which are intended to facilitate the transportation of cable wires, transformers, and other materials to the Cathedral Kenya Power Station along the Uhuru highway.
